| Site map is generated only by the site owner like you.. If you have a website, you are the one who provide site map for your site. On my opinion, site map is like a table of contents for the users to easy navigate your website. For more info with regards to site map.. I may referred this link to you provide by google: Google webmaster tool using sitemap protocol

| Did you mean to post something? I don't like the idea of manually maintaining a site map of any sort for a site this complex. Come on. Individual forum posts in the map? That is what I want Google to index.

If you will use http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/
It will scan you website from start to end and
generate a Sitemap code for you. You can use the link that Rake gave you, but
there you have to do averything manually which
is time consuming and confusing...
