Hi, Thank you very much for taking the time to read my topix i think it could really improve ucoz. i have used plenty of forums to get used to them. i like ucoz a lot but a few things u could add are a way to make polls inside ur forum like www.freeforums.org that would be really nice for gamers like me so our clan can vote on stuff without seeing a name and so forth. Also the ability to give certains users specail abilitys without changeing there user group would be nice also like www.freewebs.org. And maybe the code for a calander i serched the web a lot but i couldnt find one. this would be like a special calander where u can post times for things like a palm pilot almost. those are really the only things i miss about freewebs but i do like ucoz a lot better and if it had those it would be perfect in my book.

users groups is more handly structure... think how much time you spend to give rights (50 different options) to 100 users without groups.

Please, explain what exactly you mean. What do you mean by not seeing a name? In our polls you can't see names of those who have voted (if this is what you are talking about)

The same - be more exact or give the link to the example because I can't get the idea.

Sure i am sry that i wasnt more explanitory. First off i agree with u that user groups are an easier way to maintain a lot of members but sometimes u want one more member to see a certain section from a not visable place to them normally. like for instance i would like ppl to be able to see the personal advisors section in my forum without them changeing usergroups or allowing there normal usergroup to be able to see it. i know it is asking a lot. (And we arnt super big of a clan the limit is 50 members and not all of them are active on the webpage so i would only be giving like a select few ppl permission to the special sections) Thank you very much for ur time UCOZ and how effecient u were!!

as for the poll thing. New Topic Showing the Voting on the bottom this is a new topic on our old site and u can see at the bottom how it has the poll starter. idk if that helps but here is what it would look like when it is done.

And as for the calendar. this one is a bit harder to explain. but here it goes. if u go to www.magesinc.ucoz.com on the right side u can see a calendar. now i have tryed places like google calendar and so forth to try to find one that is simple and easy (couldnt find one)(looking for something i can embed on a page so i can make the page visable to only ppl in my clan through usergroup) idk if anyone has any suggestions on where to find one. but if u look at our calander the days that no messages are made are unclickable and u cant click on days in the future. so u cant put down what will be happening like a week in advance to give ppl a heads up. idk if there is a good free calendar like that out there. but if anyone has any suggestions plz could u inform me.

Also a few more things i think i would like to add u have Sticky Forums but what about Announcment Forums? sort of like announcment

And is there like a certain code that u could place like on a webpage in the custom design section of the admin panal to redirect someone from one page that isnt the main page to another. i know u guys/gals have a great and easy link to go from the main page redirecting to another page but code to do that would be nice for different pages.

Thank you again for ur time. im sry if these seem like dumb questions but they are things i found that i liked on other sites (besides the calendar) so they are things i think would make a nice addition for users.

As For Redirection code after i talked to my friend who is a programer it took a while for him to email me back i found this code.

So now it will be possible to redirect to different pages. Im sry that i wasted ur time on that questions.

1. Voting. Look at the following sreenshots and point the difference smile

Example in UcoZ

2. Calendar. There is the option Enable ability to select date of entry addition: in Site News settings. So you can select any date you like, either in the past or in future. You can also specify in settings whether to display the entry immediately or when the necessary day comes.

3. Announcements. You may use sticky threads as announcements, just type Announcement before the thread title.

Sunny ur the best thank u for taking the time to help me. Now the only other thing would be the special permissions for certain users but ohh well. Everything else is working fine and that is great!
