I have created my own banner and wish the image to stay in the middle of the screen at the top. I run my monitors at 1920x1200 and so I created the site without thinking about other resolutions.

Now, the rest of the site scales quite happily when the window is made smaller, but the banner doesn't.

I know I am missing something fundamental here but I can't find what it is. Any and all help would be gratefully received please.

No worries. I managed to sort it out myself by playing about

I changed
<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" height="170" width="1920">

to

<table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" height="170" width="100%">
