1. Is it possible to remove the uCoz ad banner from the website?

Of course, it is possible. Removal of the ad banner is a paid service that is included into all paid plans starting from the Basic one. To disable it:

1. Go to your website's Control Panel -> Top bar -> $ Paid services -> Paid services.

2. Select any plan except the Minimal one (it does not include removal of the ad banner) and the period for which you want to buy it.

3. Click Buy and follow further system instructions.

P.S. Hiding of the required uCoz ad banner is a serious violation of the uCoz Terms of Use that leads to blocking of your website!

2. Is it possible to set a color scheme of the built-in ad banner?

Unfortunately, it is not possible at present. Though, it is possible to set a banner position (left or right). To do so go to Control Panel -> uCoz banner and copyright adjustment -> Banner position, select a position and click Save.

3. I have found a website that violates the uCoz Terms of Use.

Please forward this information to the uCoz Abuse Team by means of the following form (at the bottom of the page): http://www.ucoz.com/abuse/

4. I have just created a website and there is no ad banner there. What should I do? Will my site be blocked?

The uCoz ad banner is not displayed on new websites for the first 10 days. It will appear when this period is over, do not worry. Of course, your website is not going to be blocked for that.

Perhaps, you'll think that my question is stupid, but how do I put this ad banner. I haven't use any scripts or codes except the template's - it's just not there (or it's me who don't see it?)! Help? cry ( http://mytrwbg.ucoz.ru/)
I've put $BANNER_V$, is it works ok?

This might be a bit similar to Jessies Question, but is it possible to accidently remove the banner just by modifing the site?

And if this would happen, are you informed about this before your account get closed?

Try not to "accidently" remove it.

drunkenbird, it is quite difficult to remove it accidentally. And no, you are not informed because the techs don't know whether you did this accidentally or on purpose. If this happens some day better contact Tech. Support or post in this forum yourself, and we will help you fix it.

Yes, as long as they don't block uCoz's.

I searched and couldn't find anything...

Im curious as to if the google ad bar is this new green color by default or if ucoz will still allow you to edit the color of it and this is just temporary? happy

Little update - Ad banner's appearance change.

The "good sites" will be able to choose between the old ad banner and the new one.

What are the "good sites"? What determines good? How do the good sites choose between the old banner and the new one? Are they able to change the background color from green to their choice? The green clashes so bad with my website. It was blue. Please tell me where to change the background color. I checked under ucoz banner and copyright adjustment, but all that is there is your choice of the Hosted by Ucoz graphics. Thanks for further insight anyone.

wondering the same @____@

i've noticed that the options are different now, is the option; built in classic banner, basically the old banner where you could change the color to go along with your site theme? im assuming as much but would like to make sure before sending a request for it.

Also, if i request one of these banner types will i still be able to select a different option later? (just making sure)

Thank you~

Rules:

* Websites that contain in any of the sections: pornography, erotic content, illegal software, hacking content or any other content that is prohibited by Google Adsense Terms and Conditions, are prohibited.
* Website name and description must contain only intelligible text without any unnecessary characters and dots (grammatical correctness is appreciated). Tags and BB codes are prohibited. If you are not able to cope with this task the website will be declined without checking of the website itself.

The above are the rules that Ucoz have layed for certifying your site to be a 'GOOD' site.

CP >> Main » uCoz banner and copyright adjustment -- here you can change the ad bar color.. but again, this can be done only after Ucoz technical team certifies your site and you would receive a message if your site is certified.
