how can i make an image link so that when i hover the mouse over the image another image appears, kinda like with a menu?

In my mind Table is not good in this time. i am using <DIV> in all sections of site. like:

Im currently wanting to redesign the site, but I have forgotten how to change the colour scheme of the site. I want to change the brown to blue and black. Please forgive me if I post in wrong place, but, I wonder how to made a attractive table/box like the first topic. I don't have any problem with color, but border and display. I tried, but or my table don't have any border or a very thick border with gray color, not the color I want. I notice in the code that you ought to use some kind of code or CSS.
