1. Enter Main » RSS import and press Add RSS relay.

2. Fill in the form:
RSS-relay name:
In order to manage your RSS-relays more easily give them understandable names. – here you write inner names, for your personal use only.

RSS-feed address: Full URL of the RSS-feed, beginning with _http://... – e.g. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/rss.xml

Type of import: Automatic - the system will check RSS-feed for updates automatically every hour.
Pre-moderated - you will choose materials to be imported manually.– better not to use it at first.

Quantity of materials: Number of materials to import. – number of materials you want to display simultaneously.

Number of columns: Number of columns for material output. – Into how many columns you want to display material.

3. After RSS-relay creation the system will ask you to make a template, i.e. appearance of your RSS-feed. To move to the template press the created RSS-feed and the link “Template customization” in it. A pop-up window will appear in the upper right-hand corner. If it is the first RSS-feed you create we advise you to use the Sample template for the RSS-relay.

Code

<li><a href="$LINK$" target="_blank">$TITLE$</a></li>

4. Then close the window with the template and press the name of the RSS-relay. A pop-up window with the script appears. You should insert this script into any part of the site where you want the feed to be displayed. If it is not Page Editor then into a template. In Page Editor you can insert the script into the page content as well.

For RSS-feed insertion into Page Editor content the modes “pure HTML” or “HTML+BB-codes” should be chosen.

It seems to be a bit broken. All the double quotes in the content section of the feed are replaced with &quot; which messes up a lot of html tags in the description, most notably the images, which are all broken. Can this be changed so that quotes are escaped using the backlash sign instead of encoded?

The feed is standard RSS coming from Yahoo Pipes: http://pipes.yahoo.com/pipes/pipe.run?_id=TLr3hRhr3RGW3Y36pQt1Yg&_render=rss
I was able to write my own JavaScript code to fetch a JSON version of the feed and display it without problems, but the ucoz RSS Import still doesn't work for me.
