It's working just as i wanted. however, one problem. when i clicked on the sitenews, those entries i put into the subcategories are showing in sitenews, too.
the new pages i creates were for musics for movies. and it kind of doesn't make sense when they also appear in sitenews. is there any way i cannot let entires in subcategories appear in the sitenews page?

I actually figured this one out myself. I had to edit the html in order to put the new menu i was trying to put.

you know when editing homepage content, you put ]</div><?endif?>$LAST_NEWS$ in order to show the latest of the sitenews. what if you want to put ad board's too? where i can find such codes for new categories of sitenews? or how do i write them in the homepage content so it shows the latest of the category.

It's not about informers. Informers show whatever you've entered in that module. I don't want that. I want only the latest entries to be seen on the home page which of course will have certain number of entries allowances for a particular module.

Sunny, I did examined. How about this then; I just want to limit the numbers of the entries of the ad board to appear on the homepage.
But still I want that code thing to show the latest of the ad board. the informers show everything from that module and makes the homepage as long as new entries are created.

Also, Sunny, I know i may be asking it in the wrong section. i tried to edit and put some texts using the visual editor in the module custom design of the ad board. but it wouldn't be edited; it wouldn't be saved. how should i just put some texts like annoucements like right above the categories on the ad board's main page. thanks.

oh i forgot to say that i also want the new ad board's entries on top of the other news entries that are old.
it should also work for $latest-news$ thing too. so that whatever the new entry of any module is on the top of the old entries.

There is such option as Number of entries: in informer settings.

Try to use another browser. However it is better not to use Visual Editor but to edit HTML templates. CP -> Customize Design -> Ad Board -> Module main page -> add texts before $CATEGORIES$

If I get it right you want entries from different modules to be sorted by date on the home page? That is not possible. You can only add different informers for different modules and they will be displayed one by one on the home page. But their order can be changed only manually, they can be sorted automatically according to the date of new entries.

P.S. You may not believe me that I know uCoz better than you and that Informers is what you need, but this is the only uCoz feature that can help you do what you want. Maybe not exactly as you want, but still.
