User with two groups

So hi everyone.

I just wanna know if is it possible for a user to have two groups?

like example they are in a user group

then before they can enter a forum they must first go to their profile
and edit it then choose the group elite.

So the user will have elite and user group.

I need to do that so that i don't have to accept them.

There permission is:

because elite groups can enter 1 hidden forum section and can't enter another hidden forum section
and the user group can enter 1hidden forum section and can't enter another hidden forum section

Unfortunately not possible.

However you can edit groups so that users are allowed to change group (Those groups you set as "choseable").
Therefore they would have to go edit their profile settings to another group before getting access.

That would work, but a user can not be in two groups at one time.

justvalencia, What do you mean?
You can edit group permissions so that the groups have different access to forums.

So users can't see one hidden forum, but if they change group to "Elite" they can see it.
Can also make a hidden forum not accesable for "Elite", so that you have to change back to user group to see it.

sir for example

only elite group can see--> Application forum
only gamers can see--> Gaming forum.

I want my members to be able to:

i need my members to be able to join two groups so that they can both see the application and gaming forum
because if they only use the elite group then the gaming forum will be hidden.

Maybe you are thinking that creating another group that can enter both hidden forum?
well that's what i actually need sir. I have my reasons.

justvalencia, Just a question, have you made it possible that a section can only be seen by a certain group? For example, have you made it possible so that the application forum can only be seen by the elite group?

It is not possible for members to belong to more than one group.
