Demand for Immediate Take-Down |
Excuse me for butting into this thread but as much as I'd hate to admit it, Zain has some powerful point in saying that many uCoz websites are being used to host or link to warez (aka pirated software). You can even see in the Ratings and TOP 100 of uCoz in the Software category that those top websites listed there are indeed sharing pirated software.
I won't start naming those websites but you can go check for yourself at this link http://top.ucoz.com/2/. Frankly, seeing that made me originally think that uCoz indeed allowed such. Of course, being myself, I just ignored it and never brought it up until now. (OR MAYBE THERE'S SOMETHING THAT I'M MISSING HERE?) Zain, OK. Also looking at your signature:
Quote (Zain) Time to say good bye uCoz. You can stay with uCoz, just make a different website (that doesn't violate the terms of use). shadowslash, any website that is built in uCoz that contains pirated software is braking the terms of service. Although there are many websites that already do, the creator will be warned. I believe it is a part of the proper uCoz team that will do this (unless other staff have this type of capabilities). Hmm but I've seen those sites on the Ratings and TOP 100 for like over a year now? And as far as I know, they still publish everyday / every week. That's what got my attention... That is why they can be reported. I understand why anyone wouldn't want to report those websites. But they violating the terms of service, and is unfair for them to stay up and Zain's to be shut down. The staff won't check every website, that is why they also count on the reporting system.

That is true but what URL to visit in order to report a site?

shadowslash, Please, use this link http://www.ucoz.com/main/?a=abuse to fill in the Abuse complain and send it to uCoz Abuse Service.
Zain, you don't need to delete your website, just its content that violates uCoz Terms of Use (warez ) Guys, we are not the police. We don't haunt websites that violate Terms of Use. We react to a request (like abuse complain). That is why we encourage each and everyone to do so. Only in this way we can come to know about them and delete them. And you can help us in it. Does this sound fair? |
Quote (Natashko) Does this sound fair? Definitely.. I've just been neglecting to post about this matter since I was afraid that doing so might raise anger among other users here who own those websites.
