Hi, i looked through the previously asked questions and couldn't find an answer to my question, so apologies if it has been asked before
I have a mum and baby board and we've in recent weeks been getting loads of registrations from Russian (i think by the style if the writing) members, they are not genuine users IYSWIM, any way, is there any way of setting the controls so it's admin controlled confirmation? We have lots of baby and children pic on the board and we obviously need to protect the children TIA, F x http://mums-corner.ucoz.co.uk

I don;t think they are TBH, they have email addresses and website addresses, like this

Some kind of spam keeps registering about 50 times daily with my site. I keep blocking the IP s and blocking their url but it does not stop them from registering again.
Somebody please help me. How do I stop it? Can I close registration? |
blueangel08, forbid activity of users with unconfirmed e-mails (CP -> Users -> Module settings), adjust user group permissions so that Users won't be able to view your site and post at it, and move all trusted members to Checked.

I had problems of comment spaming, but this managed to solve due to this forum.
Now my problem is regisrtation spaming. I have read "http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/9-2577-1" page, but I think this is a program who does soch as very quich and many registrations. I also read and "http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/6-6065-1" this page and I have had done this before this happened. Can I forbid sertain tipes of e-mail-servers like *@mail.ru, or others, because 98% of this kinde of "users" use this mail server adresses for registering? Are there any solutiuns ? Thanks in advance!!! |

 I anderstood how to prevent REGISTRATION spaming! This can organize only UCOZ Greate Admins! It is very Simple! THEY CAN FORBID REAGISTRATION FROM THE SAME IP DURRING SEVERAL TIME (1 HOUR) AND THIS PROBLEM WILL BE SOLVED FOR EVER. PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION, BECAUSE REGISTRATION SPAMING STILL CONTINUES IN MANY MANY SITES OF UCOZ (Including mine Thank's for colaboration! U R D Best! I have the same issues IP Blocking wont solve the issue. Probably these are people who lives in other country that advertises there sites by spamming registration in our own personal website.
As far as I concern, this group of registration spammers are using this type of Avatars most of the time I have banned 31 spammers so far.
