Number of characters for a brief version does not work.

Hello,

So, as the title says, the setting: "Show brief version of the text if it is too long" does not work.

Under the slider there are some news examples, the "Number of characters for a brief version:" is set to 100. Yet there is no button to show more.
My website design kinda depends on this setting.

Please help, thanks!

To 1000 at the moment, and the existing entries are shorter, so apparently there is no 'Read more' link. Please set the option back to 100 or post a longer entry, so that we could check it.

Strange, now it works. Yesterday I kept changing the setting without any results and this morning when I got back into the module settings it was set to 1000.
