No one will visit my site. No one will join either. A few have seen it and said it was a great site, but they don't return. Why? I need help...

The main reason would be, is because they have nothing to do on your site. And your site is not presentable. A possible way of making them return is freebies. Give them something to take and they will take it. For example, add HD wallpapers, though I don't recommend that because that will eat up your file manager. And try minimizing the use of widgets.

not to be rude or offend you,

for me, the 5 large flash objects on the front page slows down the page load time, making me want to close out of the site. (it took to long to load, so i left).

13053121k0, I don't even think you bothered to look around on my site because I have much to offer including games, polls, free advertising, a publisher, a forum, a place where you can blog, a search engine, and more. I also am already offering "freebies." Please give relevant advice next time. Pancake, I have already found many ways to advertise my site, none of them work! gmonly, sorry about the load time. I deleted most flash objects after reading that. Didn't even realize. Thanks for the advice.

hello jrv12000,

much better, i was able to look around some this time.

i did not find much there to do, the forum is empty, i gather you mostly use the blog?

maybe put some forum games like guess who will look at this game next, or a alphabet game like - A. Albert, the next member would post - B. Backyard etc, etc. or any type of a word game, you could even post to have the members start a new word game of their own, to get the members to join in on having some fun, this would also keep the members on your site longer and keep them coming back.

just an idea

jrv12000, You know, Pancake along with gmonly, we think the same. I'm not saying we are PRO, but you're far too new to website designing to question what WE are saying. That's exactly the main reason why YOU don't have visitors. Because you think highly of yourself. I think you should read more tutorials and tips before asking WHY you don't have visitors.

EDIT: Who would discuss something on an empty forum? Why would someone play games on your site if there are much more NEATER website with the same games like games.ucoz.com? Why would I blog there if there's a blogging website such as advocate.ucoz.com? I myself don't think highly of my website (http://hoteru.ucoz.com/), but I think it's much more presentable than yours. You should check the website that I mentioned.

Sorry if I got carried away. Won't happen again. >.<

jrv12000, this is ridiculous. If you are going to discuss why no-one comes to your site then spam four messages in the wrong threads on the Users Communication and SMS boards, well, there's your answer. No-one appreciates someone spamming their site in a thread. Search for the correct thread to post your site in or alternatively create one with enough detail to let it suffice as an informative thread regarding your site and what it's for/about.

As for all of you, please try and keep your dicussions civil. We are all human here and are allowed to make mistakes. There is no need to have a go at anyone because they accidentally missed something or another on your site.

13053121k0, I do think highly of myself. You want to know why? It is because I am awesome! You know what else is awesome? My website!
http://hoteru.ucoz.com/ needs some work. Here's why:
For one, do you think anyone will ever say, hmm... I want to find a fun site. Let me search hoteru, or maybe Otaku. It won't happen. It is likely that more people would search "Polls" or "Fun Polls" and come across my site.
Secondly, what's up with all the anime? I'm pretty sure that's starting to not be "cool" anymore.
Third, I'm not even sure how I search, or blog, or "chat." Your website doesn't even let you do any of that. It is way to time consuming to try to figure out how to access those features. I might just decide to X out of the page.
Finally, I'm pretty sure that you have to sign up to even do anything on the site.

I don't find that site appealing, very poor structure and there really isn't much on the site.
Also, needs more forums, three boards doesn't work well.
Your site is simply boring, try to work on one module at a time, like the forums, then more games.

The best you can do, is to actually make a site with a theme or a plan (Like a community, gaming site or such).

hoteru is a community, so it's obvious that you need to register. Also, I've tested hoteru for about 10 minutes, and I understood it.
It's simple and effective.

jrv12000, My username is irrelevant to the matter. And acid can be more than a drug, if that's what you were thinking.
