How to remove old Template design?

Hi. Im looking to remove the old template design so I don't end up clicking on it and screw up my current design. So is there any way to do that?

While updating the site, the webpages have a diferent template? why is that so and how can I rectify it?

It doesn't have a different template, you must simply click on "Restore default template"
and instead of clicking it 30 times, simply mark the option instead. Where's the problem?
