problem with latvian

hey I have little problem here , when im trying to post something in hope page i cant write this letter " ī" cos when i pust alt+i to make this letter long hmm dunno how to explain cos in english you dont have long i letter but when i do it ionstead of writing "ī" it enavble or disable italic shrift , i think that alt+i is reserved for that function and thats why i cant write normaly, anyway how can i disable that to be able write in normal latvian language ?

i just noticet that the same is with ū ī cos they all use alt+i alt+u to change shrift :/

There is other way of making long i u e a. Hold shift and press ' button, then it also makes long letters.

Hehehe, well, I'm professional in Tea making.

This problem doesn't occur on my computer. Adding long letters with alt
isn't the common way. You should set your PC back to 'common way' of
adding long letters, that's click of the shift and ' button.
