refresh statistics box

I was wondering if there was a way to refresh only the statistics box, showing who is online, without refreshing the whole page.
I have tried putting <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5" > in the html section of the box but the whole page reloads. any ideas or help?

uCoz doesn't offer such feature as for custom, use Google.
