Default text for module input fields (How do I edit the input field to have a default text/VALUE=)

Because the input fields are embedded into the content or body of the file catalog I can not edit the html to have the input fields have a default text(saying/explanation) in the fields. I need to utilize this to help my uploaders have a good format for submitting the information.

Is there a way to have this done alternatively?

FuriousAngels, I am not sure I understand you. Do you want to change the name of the fields in File Catalog. Which fields do you want to change and how? Be more specific.
