I didn't have a chance to access the website. But you may set up any page as the main page. Do do so go to CP->Settings->Common settings->When opening the main page, redirect to:->Set any installed module and save
You may set up HTML page as the main page as well. Next time, please use Search.
As to the transfer to checked group. You also need to have 20 days since registration and your e-mail should be confirmed.
