Nintendo 3DS
The Nintendo 3DS (ニンテンドー3DS, Nintendō Surii Dii Esu?) is an upcoming portable game console by Nintendo, which can produce "3D effects without the need for any special glasses" via a process called autostereoscopy.[7] It will be released in Japan on February 26, 2011 for ¥25,000, in Europe on March 25, 2011 (at a retailer-defined price) and in North America on March 27, 2011 priced at $249.99.[8][9] It will succeed the Nintendo DS series of handhelds,[7] which primarily shares the handheld console market with Sony's PSP.[10] The Nintendo 3DS will feature backward compatibility with Nintendo DS series software, including Nintendo DSi software.[7]
Announcing the device on March 23, 2010, Nintendo officially unveiled the device at the 2010 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3)[7] on June 15,[11] with the company inviting attendees to play with the console.[12]

PSP Successor

The device codenamed Next Generation Portable (abbreviated as NGP),[1][5] commonly referred to as the PSP2, is an upcoming handheld console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. It is the successor to the PlayStation Portable as part of the PlayStation family of gaming devices and will mainly compete with the Nintendo 3DS. The device is due for initial release during the fourth quarter of 2011.
The device includes dual analog sticks, 5 inch OLED capacitive touchscreen, 3G, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi support. Internally, the device features a 4 core ARM Cortex-A9 core processor and a SGX543MP4+ graphics processing unit as well as LiveArea as its main user interface, which succeeds the XrossMediaBar for the PlayStation Portable.[1][3]
