i want to create a members area on my site where i can put special materials only available to those who sign-up.
it's nothing inappropriate, it's a Martial Arts site and i want to put up notes and reading materials and videos only available to those who sign up. A.R.

Use one of the modules such as Publisher or Blog. Just disable a Guest from accessing the module. To do this,
Control Panel (CP) -> Users -> User Groups -> Guests -> 'Module name you have used' -> Un-check all of the boxes |
