Search Engine Design Problem? |
Alright, so I've been doing a bunch of SEO research lately, and on several sites I came across the claim (whether accurate or inaccurate I can't say) that most search engines only index the first 3kilobytes of a page.
Curious how that fit in, I hit the 'viewsource' option on my browser on one of my pages, copied everything just before my own input into the page (aka the design coding) and saved it in a notebook file, to find that my design is a hair over 2 kb. My question, is does this cause problems with search engines? Some pages are certainly going to go over the 3kb margin at that rate, especially on pages where the site manager applies a few dozen lines of coding of his own. If it does not cause problems, could whoever answers this please explain why? (Possibly because search engines skip the header and go straight for the body, or something.....) And if it does cause problems, is there a solution? Thanks in advance. |
Kyrt_Ryder, this is not ucoz related problem. To your question:
Quote (Kyrt_Ryder) does this cause problems with search engines? No. If you are using Ucoz templates designs, they are made by professionals. Ucoz templates are very SEO friendly. Scripts or codes are not indexed by search engines. A little Google search might help you more. |
It's not exclusively Ucoz no, but I felt Ucoz people would better understand how their templates interact with SEO than anyone else. Regardless, thanks for your answer khen.
