Having read the vast majority of what comes up in searching "Informers" i am even more confused so lets see if anyone can help me out.......
I am wanting to know if A- I can from a forum run an informer to ONLY run top posts in that category/forum as i have lets say want to run only posts from this forum to output on front page and this one as a seperate infomers so i would then have 3 sperate informers 1 - http://t4club.ucoz.net/forum/190 2 - http://t4club.ucoz.net/forum/177 3 - And the current one which is http://t4club.ucoz.net/forum/ whre it details the newest posts / The reasons for this are i operate 3 seperate entities all on the same basic subject from one community and would like to seperate the top posts from each seperate entity if you see what i mean .... As a seperate issue i would like to also run a few seperate image informers on the main pages for each community but musch the same as the forum posts informers canyt seem to understand how to get it to do anymore than it currently does like if i have seperate albums can i inform on seperate ones per say? Ok right thank you immesnsely understand the forums ones, should be able to do that one with ease now many thanks ... however i now understand how to add one forum ID what i want to do is inform on all forums in a category, thus to display ID's 195,199,191,192,193,194 in one informer as i do now with my complete forum? to do this would i require to create an informer for each ID then? or can i do it from VW Auto-Sleepers the category which takes them all into it anyway but has no ID ???

Again, if I understood you correctly, all you need is to create an Informer for the whole module and select "In random order" in the field "Sorting mode: It would be much easier if you at least try my suggestions, so we would both know whether it is what you are looking for or not. |
I have tried your Forums one which is working correctly i fully understand it what i dont yet understand is the image one i shall go and play about just now the problem is when you play about and dont know what your doing thats where i have had all the problems previously hence my reluctance to change any settings until i understand fully what i am doing .....
I shall let you know what happens suffice to say its only the image informers i have issues with ... i currently have a folder or album of images that are being displayed on my front page but fear that changing another informer will mess itup, all i want to know is can i set a different informer for a different album and if so how as they dont seem to have ids like forums do ?
