FrozenAcun, If you have knowledge about CSS, then you can change background images.
Ok I'm trying to help you about as I can.

Look CSS

/* General Style */
body {background: #fff; margin:0px; padding:0px; }
.wrap {background: url('/.s/t/817/1.jpg') #111; text-align:center;}
.header {width: 1000px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: left; height: 100px; position: relative;}
table.main-table {border: 0px; padding: 0px; border-collapse: collapse; width: 1000px; border-spacing: 0px; background: #fff;margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;height: 100%;}
td.content-block {vertical-align: top; width: 690; padding: 0 10px; border-top: 10px solid #fff; border-bottom: 10px solid #fff;}
td.side-block {vertical-align: top; width: 290px; repeat-y; border-top: 10px solid #fff; border-bottom: 10px solid #fff; padding: 13px 0 20px 0;}
td.forum-block {vertical-align: top; padding: 20px; }
.illustration {height: 70px; background: url('/.s/t/817/3.jpg') -10px -20px no-repeat; margin-bottom: 10px;}
.footer {text-align: center; padding: 15px; color: #777;}

.header h1 {color: #fff; font-size: 30pt; font-weight: normal; position: absolute; bottom: 5px; left: 20px; margin: 0; padding: 0; }
.date {color: #777; position: absolute; left: 10px; top: 5px;}
.user-bar {color: #777; position: absolute; right: 10px; top: 5px;}
.navigation {position: absolute; bottom: 3px; right: 10px;}
.navigation a:link, .navigation a:active, .navigation a:visited {background: #fff; padding: 3px 7px; margin: 0; text-decoration: none;}
.navigation a:hover {background: #ff5d5c; color: #fff; text-decoration: none;}
.block h1 {background: url('/.s/t/817/5.png') bottom right no-repeat; margin: 0; padding: 6px 30px 19px 20px; color: #191919; font-weight: normal;}
.block-content {padding: 0 20px 10px 10px;}

h1 {color:#505050;font-size:14pt;font-weight:normal;}

a:link {text-decoration:underline; color:#ff5d5c;}
a:active {text-decoration:underline; color:#ff5d5c;}
a:visited {text-decoration:underline; color:#ff5d5c;}
a:hover {text-decoration:none; color:#999999;}
td.side-block a:hover {background: #ccc; color: #555;}

td, body {font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif; font-size:10pt;}
form {padding:0px;margin:0px;}
input,textarea,select {vertical-align:middle; font-size:8pt; font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;}
.copy {font-size:8pt;}

a.noun:link {text-decoration:none; color:#7D7D7D}
a.noun:active {text-decoration:none; color:#7D7D7D}
a.noun:visited {text-decoration:none; color:#7D7D7D}
a.noun:hover {text-decoration:none; color:#000000}

hr {color:#CCCCCC;height:1px;border:none;background:#CCCCCC;}
label {cursor:pointer;cursor:hand}

.blocktitle {font-family: Trebuchet MS, sans-serif;color:#787878;font-size:12px;}

a.menu1:link {text-decoration:underline; color:#FAFAFA}
a.menu1:active {text-decoration:underline; color:#FAFAFA}
a.menu1:visited {text-decoration:underline; color:#FAFAFA}
a.menu1:hover {text-decoration:underline; color:#CCCCCC}
.menuTd {padding-left:12px;padding-right:10px; background: url('/.s/t/817/6.gif') no-repeat 0px 3px;}

Red shows background image, link your image as background (some are for header and some are Main Background, so caution)
Upload desired image for Background and link in red space, But be careful just backup your template before doing any customization.

Happiness comes to those who are moving toward something they want very much to happen. And it almost always involves making someone else happy.

If you still need help, make sure to provide a website name as well as the number of the design. Use search before. You might find the answer to your question or the thread about your design.

how to put up a background on a $IMAGE1$,i mean something like this

Substitute $IMAGE1$ with:
Code
<div class="image-div">$IMAGE1$</div>

Then go to CP->Design->Design management (CSS)->add: .image-div {background: black;padding: 8px 8px 20px 8px;border-radius: 5px;}You may set the parameters yourself or add yours.
The rest of your questions require custom coding.
