Hey I was just thinking when a user signs up for ucoz they get the standard layouts right ?
basicly meaning 90% of ucoz websites will end up looking just like the other guys enless you go to work on your page so thus bringing the question is there no copyright for users looking the same ? or anything like of that nature ? |
What do you mean?
You mean sites with the standard designs? uCoz owns those rights, and allow their users to use them with rights to change anything. So there is no copyright violation, and site owners can't sue any other site owners with the same uCoz design, since they don't own the full rights for it. Proud uCoz user since 2006

Pancake, Well yes, but You still need some div's and the standard html (<html>, <head>, etc).
I think you might want to create a own design instead, since almost empty pages makes users leave. You should just use a design and customize it, or create your own, alternatively download a custom one. Proud uCoz user since 2006

Pancake, I have no clue of what you mean.
But to center a design, simply change the width of some elements in the css. Full page width is defined with Code width:100%; But check your design number, and post a thread (or in the design's thread) about changing the width, and I'll help. Proud uCoz user since 2006

Pancake, of course you can remove the uCoz template. If you open your CP and go to design customisation you are able to completely customise your sites template. It would take some editing to get it aligned and setup correctly but otherwise it shouldn't be too hard.
