To answer your questions to my best I will reply below.

- how to add news on forum -> This can be done in many ways I recommend adding a [News/Updates] section/forum to your forums, you may add site news and updates to the main page easy.

- How to change header - banner -> To change the you will need to find the background IMG's code[link] and you will need to search it in Top part of website on your CP > Custom Design > Top part of website, simply replace with the image you would like, and if you want to make minor adjustments use Visual Editor (WYSIWYG).

- can forum length be more lengther [i think i wrote this a little bit weird but i hope u understand :D] -> Yes, from what I understand your asking if Forum Length of messages can be extended, the answer is YES, You can do this by going to CP > Settings > Common settings > Module settings > Forum.

- what is file catalog and publisher? -> File Catalog is basically a place where you could import some files for people to download, EG) My christmas list!
