Fist thing first:
In my File Catalog module settings
For my Number of entries on the main page: I set 7
When the guests add the the entries to File Catalog they will not show up until I approve their entry.

That said, here is the problem when the guest adds an entry to File Catalog main page, other guests see only 6 entries instead of 7 on the main page.
At times I get 15 to 25 entries from users and guests, uCoz system counts those invisible/un-Activated entries as part of activated once.
What that does is when the users go to the file catalog main page they don't see entries there until they get to the second or third page, that depends how many invisible/un-activated entries there are.

Is there a way to change settings in control panel so that the un-activated entries won't count as part of those 7 entries in the File Catalogs main page?

Brazen, yes, such problem exists. I cannot say when it will be fixed. Atm you can either pre-moderate new entries in time, or use Informer to display them.

Brazen, this is not a problem, this is optimization feature, unfortunately I can't change anything... thanks to optimization ucoz can bear many millions of hits every day.... and we'll never tell you a word if your site has multimillion traffic.
