how do i put a forum post alert where it shows new forums post on my sidebar on home page

Each user holds cookies and information of threads which he/she
read, so 'new forum posts' is different for each and are people
who do not save history and they see whole forum as 'new post'.

You could use informers to show last made forum post(s).
