Home page template.. (does not change with design change)

Sorry if there is already a thread for this. Couldn't find it. Anyway, I'm trying to change the home page template. I am able to go to CP-Common Setting-select design number and works great except, for the home page. Is there some reason the home page is not changing while all the other pages do?

Just trying to see if I'm missing something.

Did you mark "Update the design for all active modules" before applying template?

Did you apply personal template for "Main page" while editing it via Page Editor?

ok, that was it, I had the apply personal template for "Main page" selected by accident.
