Multiple registration glitch |
I have a user who said she only tried 2 times to register and it's not letting her. But when I looked at the users list, I saw multiple registrations of that person and of course this also appeared on the forum users. Since this is a uid, the system said I can only block but not delete. Is there a work around that you can do to remove the entries or hide blocked users from the forum members list? It's obviously a glitch at the time of registration.
uCoz website is pinayclashers.clan.su Thanks for the help! Attachments:

krootz, unfortunately you can not delete these accounts, but you can prevent the repeating of the situation.
Go to Control panel >> Users module >> Module settings, and check the Block repeated e-mails option. If you do thit, the user can't re-register with the same e-mail address anymore. hey i'm joe and i do not work for the company anymore, please contact other staff or tech support

Not being able to delete, I set them all to have a group role "Blocked". Now, can I I make all the members that are "Blocked" not appear on the forum member's list? I dont want other users to see blocked members anyway and this will in effect help hide the multiple registrations as well from forum users.

krootz, you can technically delete users using the mass transfer/removal of accounts features. You have to be highly attentive when using this feature, however, else risk incidentally deleting every active user account on your website, or even a large portion of them.
You can find information on this feature here: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/7-13311-1#76042 Jack of all trades in development, design, strategy.

krootz, no, it's not broken. The criteria should be like this:
If the users are registered earlier than a day, the Mass delete/transfer feature will not find any users (in my case). hey i'm joe and i do not work for the company anymore, please contact other staff or tech support

bigblog, thanks for the reply, but as i've said, i've tried all the different combinations, different groups, activity low, insignificant, checked and unchecked that email is not confirmed, but everytime i click "Find User" with any of the combinations, no users are found.

Sunny,
Here's a screenshot. I'm basically just using the FIND USER, all members, nothing comes up. I was trying to remove blocked members earlier and nothing was happening so I decided to test and see if the find user was picking up any user. Even with confirmed or unconfirmed email, nada. krootz, you're currently searching for users who have registered 2+ months ago. Adjust this to 1 weeks and earlier.
