freelance7076, it isn't possible to convert the Photo Album page, but I believe it's possible to make another module work in a similar way, but with PDF files. I will contact you as soon as I develop a solution to this.

freelance7076, okay, this is gonna be a bit long, but you'll be fine, I'm sure.
I figured out there's a way to make the Photo Albums module work like a book portfolio, therefore, I have prepared a module configuration for your needs. 1. First of all, you need to enable the field "Additional field 1" in the Module settings. Screenshot: http://take.ms/rziZe (don't forget to hit "Save" at the bottom of the page). 2. Go to Control Panel » Design customization » Photo page in a pop-up window under "Photo Albums" and replace Code $PHOTO$ with Code <iframe src="$OTHER1$" width="650" height="500" frameborder="0" border="0"></iframe> Screenshot: http://take.ms/bmX3a 3. Go to the Photo albums main page, Section photos page, Page listing album photos, and Page with photo rating and search result templates, and replace Code $BODY$ with Code $BODY$<script type="text/javascript">window.ulb = {photoPage: "Look inside of the book!",closeBtn: "Close", error: "The requested content can't be uploaded<br/>Please try again later.", next: "Next", prev: "Previous", btnPlay: "Start slideshow", btnToggle: "Change size"}</script> You're basically done with the configuration. Now you need to understand how to upload your work to the module. It won't be difficult at all! 1. Upload the PDF file to the File Manager. You can either upload it to the root of the File Manager or a folder. 2. Copy the link to the PDF file by clicking its name and copying the URL address from the message box. 3. Go to the Photo Albums entry addition page and upload the photo of the book/writing. 4. Click on Upload and complete the form that appears in a pop-up window. Don't forget to insert the copied link into the field called "Additional field 1," otherwise, it won't work. Here's a screenshot: http://take.ms/FSU18 . And that's it! Here's how it will work: 1. The pictures will appear just like in a normal Photo Albums module. http://take.ms/FUwNX 2. When you click on the photo, it will enlarge, and will have a link at the bottom. http://take.ms/XnYL3 3. This link will lead you to the page where you can find the embedded PDF reader. http://take.ms/j1Nsk You can add any information to the page in the Photo page in a pop-up window template. Hope this helps! If you have other questions, feel free to ask! hey i'm joe and i do not work for the company anymore, please contact other staff or tech support

freelance7076, I'm glad I could help! I see the Optimal plan is active on your website. Did you know that you can replace system URLs like /photo with /portfolio, for example? All you have to do is to use the SEO module! http://faq.ucoz.com/faq/how_do_i_set_up_custom_urls/33-0-528
You can enable the setting in the Premium settings of the module. hey i'm joe and i do not work for the company anymore, please contact other staff or tech support

I didn't know, but then I don't know much about SEO anyway, to be truthful. I'll read through the link and have a go.
Thank you again. Ann |
