HTTP 403 Forbidden |
Ok so I'm trying to make sure my jplayer works in every browser. Mainly opera & older versions of firefox and ie. In order for it to work I have to provide the path to the flash fallback file. Now I provided the right path but it still doesnt work. So I tried to access mysite.com/js, which is where the swf file is located but I get "HTTP 403 Forbidden". So I'm thinking that may be why it isn't working. If that's the reason, is there a work around to this?

Sunny,
OK so here is the page im testing it on : http://www.ventlyfe.com/board....4-1-0-3 Here's the link to the swf file: http://www.ventlyfe.com/js/Jplayer.swf Also remember in order for the flash fallback to work I have to provide the path of the swf file not the actual link to the swf file. XO-Ferg, did you add / at the end of the path - http://www.ventlyfe.com/js/ ?

Sunny,
Ok, so I finally contacted the developers and they said "I included jQuery more than once in my page". But they said the one causing the problem was "http://s57.ucoz.net/src/jquery-1.7.2.js". So is there anyway I can disable that jQuery, because I can't disable it in the common settings, I can only select which version I want to use. |
Paradox,
version 1.10.1, but I have that version linked in my header . But the "http://s57.ucoz.net/src/jquery-1.7.2.js" is interfering with the flash fallback with the my player, and causes it to fail. Added (2013-09-24, 8:54 PM) |
XO-Ferg, from what I can determine the player should work without the secondary jQuery file? Have you tried. If not I will look for a script which will remove it for you.

Paradox, Hey, I took out the secondary jQuery file, and the player didn't work. Thanks in advance if you do find a script. XO-Ferg, sorry about the late reply, I've been looking for a script, however, I've been unable to find one for your solution. :/ I'll keep you updated if I find anything.
