Lately we got a lot (20-30 per day) of spam topics at our forum. Posting is allowed only for registered users, captcha is set to maximum security level and still no change. I have tried to enable email address confirmation but very often other users did not receive emails. Every entry is made by new user with different email, ip and other details (i can provide you details if needed).
My question is - is there a way to add to registration form non-ucoz captcha? maybe re-captcha or any other. Or is there a better solution? forum address: http://ia-clan.com/forum/55 |
tomasz, it's not possible to use custom captchas. As for solutions, I can suggest forum moderators that will help you delete spam threads, or limiting the permissions of the user groups, e.g. do not allow Users to create threads, and use Auto-transfer to automatically move Users to Checked after a certain number of forum posts.

tomasz, only auto-transfer from the default Users group (ID 1) to the default Checked group (ID 2) is possible. The option is in Control Panel -> Users -> User groups.

Could you help me with setting auto-transfer? I enabled it yesterday (with settings as on screenshot) but seems that its not working. User with more than 2 forum entries wasn't transfered.

Tell your team member to put long link or text in code button. If not, give them a warning.

Set for avatar to be required field for users during the registration, that is 5 step process (click on select avatar, select category, select avatar, confirm, close window). Even if real user can do all that for 3-5 sec bot's can't process all that operations (at least for now).
