If possible, how can i go about it...and if its not, can i use any external scripts to achieve this. I know its possible with in the users module..but i want to provide a space where guests can fill in their email and subscribe to newsletters and mail outs. Please help accordingly...

Soldierdevil, when using the mass mailing feature in the Users module, users can subscribe on their profiles. If you want to have a separate subscription space on your website, then you should look for an external embed solution.
