pagespeed insights optimize ucoz default files |
Hello good morning from Mexico I join the forum in English of ucoz.
My name is Alejandra and I would like to be able to expose some doubts that I have since the ucoz forum in Spanish is dead I currently do not have a place in ucoz since I have migrated to worrpres but I want to continue learning about ucoz Well, I would like to know if some day ucoz optimizes the following files so that their users have better qualification in Google pagespeed insights since that will help get better SEO The files are: http://www.yousite.com/.s/src/layer7.css http://www.yousite.com/.s/src/base.css http://www.yousite.com/.s/src/ulightbox/ulightbox.css http://www.yousite.com/.s/src/jquery-1.10.2.js if someone knows how to optimize them so that they weigh less and give us a higher rating in Google |
Hey Alejandra! hmmm... What you want to do is not impossible but it's certainly not recommended! what you can do is to create minified versions of the uCoz system resources (using any CSS and JS minifiers out there), and block the system scripts by escaping the title and head enclosing tags. You will then have to include your minified CSS and JS files in your templates..........but this method is not really recommended because these files are often updated, especially when uCoz is rolling out new system features!
On the other hand, the size of the files doesn't really affect SEO - search engines really only care abt the content and code structure. The uncompressed files more likely affect page load speed, but uCoz sites have an ok loading speed in my opinion. BTW yeah uCoz doesn't have a Spanish community manager so that forum is kind of like a ghost town at the moment hey i'm joe and i do not work for the company anymore, please contact other staff or tech support
