HTML Knowledge required: Basic

If you're like me who's unhappy by the fact that the Rules of User Registration in uCoz is at the bottom part of the page then here's a quick and nice solution i cooked up just for you. =)

Follow through these easy-to-follow step-by-step procedures.

Step 1: Finding the section to edit.
Find the User Registration Page in Custom Design.
If you don't know how to do this, watch this video: http://screencast.com/t/YWUzMjI4M

Step 2: Locating the area of code to edit.
On the current window from Step 1, locate the <body> tag from within your template.

Step 3: Creating the new Rules of User Registration.

Code
onLoad="new _uWnd('RulesOfUserRegistration','Account Registration Reminder',450,200,{min:0,shadow:1,header:1,max:0,resize:0,modal:1,nomove:0},'Here goes the rules!');"

From the code above, edit Here goes the rules! and replace with your own.
NOTE: Do NOT indicate quotes. Don't use:
Code
<a href="http://www.somesite.org/">My Site</a>
Instead, do it like this:
Code
<a href=http://www.somesite.org/>My Site</a>

Step 4: Implementing the modified codes.
Proceed to the window you got to on Step 1 then append your code to the <body> tag.
If you don't know how to do this, watch this video: http://screencast.com/t/MDViYTNkM2

Step 5: Testing your new modified User Registration.
Proceed to the registration page of your uCoz website and watch it happen. smile
To view a sample of how this would work out, watch this video: http://screencast.com/t/NGExMzFm

You should read rules before posting: http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/30-3739-1
Edit your post. And this thread definitely isn't staying in official board because
you are so much "irritated" which doesn't sound quite nice while reading tutorial.

um is this okay now? smile i edited it:

  • The header is no longer larger than the size 10.
  • The word irritated has been replaced with unhappy. smile (Sorry bout the previous one, that's just how I type, no offense meant.)
  • I didn't seem to use the font color red in more than 10% of the post, I just used it in the word NOT. The rest of the redness is just from within the image which I don't think is against the rules. smile

Sorry if I seem to have offended you guys and sorry for not looking at the guidelines first. smile
