I actually have two questions. Am I allowed to use completely different design for the website? I want implement twitter bootstrap and I already know it can be done. But am I allowed to?

My second question I would like to set the e-shop as my home page. How can I do that?

Admin1337, Yes. You can use your own design. As for the second question just go to your control panel and look for:
Settings >> Common settings >> When opening the main page, redirect to
And set it to e-shop.
