Heeeeey, it is not possible. Blog sorting options are very limited, but even in other modules it is possible to sort entries by the number of comments, but not be their date.

Which modules have that option of most replies bumped up? Maybe I'll use one of those for the home page. |
Heeeeey, most content modules have the feature: Publisher, File Catalog, Site Catalog, Ad Board... You can check the sorting section of module settings to be sure. You need the following options:
