Quote NormalX Go to file manager and then click the wrench to the right of 404.htm and then paste your custom 404 page code That's what I did originally - when I click on the wrench, my custom code is there: Code <html><head> <title>Site Name</title> </head> <body style="background-color:Black;"></font> <center><h1><font color="White">Error 404<br ><br /><font size="3">Page Not Found</h1></center> <center><img src="http://audioforum.my1.ru/Audio-Forum-Logo2.gif" border="0"></center> <center><table><tbody><tr> <td align="center"><b><br><br><a href="http://audioforum.my1.ru/">Back to Main Page</a><br><br>Page Not Found</b></td> </tr></tbody></table></center> <br> <br> <center><p> <small>audio-forum T34M<br >2004 - 2014</small> </p></center> </body></html> ... it just never shows up (Sunny mentioned there was a bug) I'm assuming the 'bug' is still there. I had been trying to do this since the site was moved to ucoz back in '09... as I can see all is done according to the directions on how to get the 404 error changed. Added (2014-08-17, 9:51 AM) --------------------------------------------- Quote NormalX i noticed that custom page appear when it is 404.htm and default appearing when is 404.html I tried changing both code and file extension to reflect this before and it didn't work either... as long as the extension is 'htm', should pick it up. Added (2014-08-17, 10:56 AM) --------------------------------------------- add: They are both showing up as htm and html since I added also the html one today but... an error page still shows the ucoz one: http://audioforum.my1.ru/uuyt Ucoz Website Since 2009

I just commented here that I'm having this issue and made a thread to talk with people having the same problem, this thread has nothing to do with the 404.htm bug. That's why I closed your thread. This bug is already discussed here, so there is no need to create a new thread. And there isn't much to discuss actually - the bug was reported to the techs, and will be fixed. You just need to wait a little. I'm not active on the forum anymore. Please contact other forum staff.

I'm really stuck! When I upload my custom made 404.htm to the File Manager, it says "The name already exists.". I can't remove the uCoz one either or the favicon.ico, so I can't put a custom favicon up either. I can't remove them because there is no action available for me to remove them.

Luke7106, you need to upload a file with the exact title 404.htm. It will upload and replace the existing page. You can't rename files within the file manager with the same name as any other existing file.

Would I do the favicon the same way? |
Luke7106, yes, you create a file favicon.ico on your computer, and then upload it to the File Manager. Please read more at http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/42-6836-1
