How do I get threads to show up in sub-forums?

Right now when someone posts a thread in a sub-forum it shows on the forum itself, for example:

This thread was created in the "Selfies" section but is also showing up under Offtopic > Spam.

How can I get it so that if a thread is created within the sub-forum that it doesn't show up in the forum before that, but only that particular sub-forum it was made in? So basically the "Introduction & Selfies" thread appears only in the sub-forum "Selfies" and not "Spam" at all?

If you need me to explain a little more I will, I know it sounds confusing.

You can try this feature in CP > Forum > Module Setting > Hide subforum threads in forums.
