A problem with uCoz ads. |
Hello. I think this is the right place to post this thread.
I really hate this, since everything else is alright. There are so many ads that should not exist (in my opinion). Like these: These ads are wrong. Think about the people visiting the site, seeing ads about losing weight, etc. If there is an option to not display THOSE KIND OF ADS, then I will do it. This ad is alright: It's an uKit ad, but it's not needed for them all to be uKit. Just not ads like losing weight. (This is not from an uCoz website, it's an AdSense ad) ^ An example of another good ad. Is there an option to display those kinds of ads, that don't have things with losing weight? Thanks. To disable those ads, go to your Control Panel --> Settings --> Ad Banner Customization. Check the "Do not display video ads". If you are not able to do this, then, I suggest you must pay for any of the Service Package Plans offered by uCoz.

uCoz has no control over those ads. Very bad adverting policy if you ask me in some countries (like Romania) showing enlarging penis ads on 25% of the site and other crap. Some employees in some countries are either incompetent or ignorant or both. They are paid for doing nothing.
uCoz central offices taking suggestions from their local employees have made uCoz have a tiny market share in some countries. These people should be fired and find some competent ones immediately. Suggestion. You have here my suggestions : http://forum.ucoz.ro/forum/2-916-5964-16-1331391580 http://forum.ucoz.ro/forum/2-916-6003-16-1331451319 Examples : http://postimg.org/image/y5bbjvafp/ http://postimg.org/image/5tprmtqj9/ http://postimg.org/image/rhepx9qxh/ http://postimg.org/image/80u0aqvth/ Final example : (complete) http://postimg.org/image/w2xf8p7z9/ Let me translate this for you. And send this to suggestions. On 1000 pixels line you have 5 ads x 200 x 22 pixels for a total of 1000 px x 22 px with two buttons at the end of 11 px x 11 px. The button X closes the bar. The button R takes the user to a page where he can purchase ad space directly on uCoz. uCoz then shows the ads and consumes the credit when they are clicked. The most intuitive, elegant and usable ad platform that uCoz can manage and control themselves without annoying, insulting and alienating its own users by showing huge banners with ridiculous content on the free websites ! So, there's no way you can disable the lose weight ads, etc., right? I want to make my website not be on static HTML pages since there are no ads on them, so uCoz can also gain money from the ads, but I don't want visitors to be scared by some random ads and think the website is bad, etc.
Currently, I can't buy any plan (personal problem), so I can't get rid of the ads. Also, I haven't seen any video ad, what are those? - Nitroretro

If you use Ad block plus and your users use it too no one will see the ads. https://adblockplus.org/ I am not against uCoz making money, but i strongly advise to use a more elegant and less disturbing system for the free users.
