Edit forum structure

Is there a way to edit forum structure it just says $BODY$ but you can't edit that. i want to use something other than tables.

LeonHaker, bigblog, technically using jQuery/JavaScript it is possible to replace the existing forum structure with new tags of whatever nature. It'd just be a lot of coding/bug fixing. I haven't yet done it entirely before myself, although from what I have done before, I'd certainly say it would be possible.

(Yes, like you've said in your other post you would lose page speed to achieve this.)
