Opinion about web design |
A few of my clients have recently asked if I also do websites. Here's the thing - I absolutely can create beautiful websites - in Wix. And I'm not talking just dragging and dropping stuff into basic templates - I really can make a nice website (as custom as possible without coding it from scratch). However, I am not a "web designer" and I don't claim to be.
Here's where my question comes in - is it ok for me to tell these clients that I can create them a website in Wix? Or is that not legit?? These clients are all small businesses, and I don't believe that they need huge complicated websites. Also, I feel that a Wix website would even be a more desirable option for these clients because after I finish the site, I can hand them over the keys and they can maintain and make changes to the websites themselves. |
WilsonPatel, a web designer can also be a person who designs websites in Photoshop. So it's OK to even call yourself a web designer as long as you also mention that you're making websites in Wix and that you're not coding them from scratch. There are a lot of people who do things like this.
Since your primary target is small businesses, why not look into https://ukit.com/ which is targeted towards businesses (therefore offering more useful tools to establish their online presence)? uKit also has some nice perks for freelancers, which would also make it more beneficial for you. hey i'm joe and i do not work for the company anymore, please contact other staff or tech support
