Hey guys. I am trying to transfer my domain, thegoodgossip.com, to 1&1 Internet. I put the authorization code to agree to the transfer a few days ago, however I am being informed that the current provider (uCoz) has placed a so-called LOCK in place in order to prevent a domain transfer. Any kind of help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Nick9488, as far as I can see you registered the domain on 2016-03-28, and a .com domain cannot be transferred to another domain registrar within the first 60 days after it is registered. This rule is established by ICANN, not uCoz, it is valid no matter which domain registrar you choose. So, you will simply need to wait 60 days, and then you can transfer the domain.
