im an admin on a friends website, and when i try to login with the password he gave me, it says incorrect login or password, any ideas as of why this would happen?

purplesky2, maybe he gave you a wrong password. There can be only one Control Panel password, it is not possible to have different CP passwords for different users.
I'm not active on the forum anymore. Please contact other forum staff.

Well he could of accidentally of given you the wrong information. You wont be able to get the password any other way, but ask the site creator for the password again.

purplesky2, as Sunny said above, follow that. Also, make sure that the password you are entering is correct in Upper/Lower-Case, Shift or any other special character.
