I am going to let someone guest post on my blog. Is it correct that they have to register? After they register they can then post to my blog right? Because I wanted it to be in their name and then I was just going to post that this is a guest post. So my readers know. Is this the correct way? After they register than they can post? I have never done this before.

QueenMaa,
It's up to you - you can customize the permissions of the user groups as you wish and allow unregistered users (Guests) to post, if necessary. This can be done in Control Panel > Users > User groups > Set permissions for all groups: I would also recommend that you enable the option "Pre-moderate new entries (must be verified)" for guest posts - in this case all posts posted by Guests or Users (or other groups you enable this option for) will be inactive till you manually approve them. This will help you avoid spam posts. I'm not active on the forum anymore. Please contact other forum staff.

QueenMaa, if a post is added by a guest, there will be no name on the post. If you then edit this post, you can assign a name to it, but you can only choose among the existing users (those that are registered on your website).
