disable HTML Tags not working

Whether is ticked or un-ticked, still shows live html links - need to have it show as 'text' only. It was working before - now is not.
Also - if using the [code]BB code, only shows one link as text - and the others in the code wrapper as live links.

the issue was with forum posts and comments - I thought by writing bb-codes above would be self-explanatory. That setting has been changed @ panel and corrected... I have found subtle changes in the panel with the site this year for things that I had set from long ago... then @ some point things are not right and I find the issue with setting changes @ the panel (3rd time this year) ~ all back to normal now.
