New Thread manager featurein Forum module ?

I read this in the Blog - tried to ask there but keep getting an "invalid security answer message" when I see no security question.

Where is this "Thread manager" ? - It's not in the panel.

First of all, you need to enable the options for users group that should be able to assign a thread manager or to be allowed to become:

I have them turned on - but I am missing something here.

What is meant by thread manager ?

is it an added feature for editing threads or is it like a 'thread moderator' that can function as a half moderator ?

no other info given @ blog regarding this new feature wacko

yes, it's like you appoint a person to be a moderator of a thread instead of the whole forum.

Have you enabled the option for other user groups as well?

no, I have not enabled since we have 3 global moderators.
I was just trying to understand what 'thread manager' is.
