Kness, you may set up the autorefresh time or do it yourself. It will make the process of receiving messages quicker. But you will still receive them, though several seconds delay is possible.

the messages is not auto refresh when it's on ---

blizar10, When you set it to "15 seconds" , It will auto refresh every 15 seconds.

blizar10, if you want autorefresh to the tag board, insert this code to the end of Appearance of entries (Control Panel >> Design customization >> Appearance of entries [from Tag board module's template list]):

And you replace 15 with any numerical value. This code is refreshing the content every 15 seconds.

Is the code. The number "15" represents how often the tag board will refresh.

If you set it to 0, it means it will be like a live chat, but I've noticed it seems to lag a lot when doing this, flashing white like crazy.

London, I don't recommend to use a very little interval of refreshing. The system can block your IP-address for too many requests.

How to do that :

If A chat message is posted today, the at the place of time it should show how many times ago it is posted. Like "14 sec ago" or "2 min ago" or "1 hour ago".

bigblog, ok. I just saw it on the game clash of clans chat, so told np. Thank you!

•The another thing I think should be changed - when the tag board refreshes it look like flash(a complete white tag board page). I am afraid my users will not like it.

creator8341, this is normal (an iframe is reloading /a page in a page/), and I don't think that this can be modified.
