Though it's summer - holiday time - the uCoz Team keep working, and today we are ready to announce the newest results of our work: updates, bug fixes, new templates.

First of all I would like to share the long-awaited innovation in uCoz - the possibility to attach your cell phone number to your uCoz website.

Connecting the phone number to your account, you will considerably increase its security. In case you lose access to your account, you will be able to restore it by identifying you as the owner of the attached phone number.

This procedure is absolutely free. Not a cent will be deducted from your phone or the account of your uCoz website. We never request paid SMS to confirm a number, unblock a website etc.

How to attach a mobile phone to your website?

While this feature is still under testing it can be done in Control Panel -> Security -> Confirm phone number.

Enter your phone number, including the country code, and click "Confirm":

Wait for an SMS with the verification code to the provided number, enter the code and click "Enter the code from the SMS".

Attention! A verification SMS is sent not more than 3 times. Please be patient and don't request a new code immediately, try to wait for 2-5 minutes. If you haven't received the code after this period, contact the Support Service via the Control Panel of your website.
A phone number is attached to a uID account, as a result all websites of the uID account (e-mail) will be attached to one phone number.

If you did everything right, your phone number will be successfully attached to your website, and you will see the following message:

You can change the number or disconnect it from your account at any time.

We have fixed the bugs, related to:

opening of folders in File Manager when there is a dot in the title;
brief and full entry text in the informers of Site News and Blog (description: if the $BRIEF$ field was deactivated for these modules, $MESSAGE$ in the informer template returned nothing. Now, if $BRIEF$ is disabled, $MESSAGE$ will return truncated text of a full entry from the database;
error of incorrect phone number in user's profile (if the field is required);
access permissions to categories - now if a category is saved with the permissions disabled for all groups, the permissions are given by default to the "Administrators" group;
editing of comments in the AJAX window, using the new visual comment editor;
SEF URLs in informers;
involuntary restoration of default templates of global blocks;
RSS feed and entries that contain "&" in their titles;
subscription to closed forums.

Innovations:

the possibility of quick replacement has been added to the templates "Site search" and "Appearance of entries";
images in search results;
the code $CATEGORIES_JSON$ has been added to all modules with categories; it displays categories in the JSON format, that can be used in JS to display categories in any form.

E-shop:

the bug with displaying of orders on the list, when filtering by status in the archive, has been fixed;
the bug with downloading online orders into XML and XLS has been fixed;
the bug with setting up an external calculator in delivery methods has been fixed;
the bug with page switchers on comment pages has been fixed.

Default templates:

DOCTYPE has been fixed in the following templates: 651, 971, 805, 984, 785, 786, 797, 799, 996, 796, 986, 793, 812, 121, 823, 982, 955, 878, 808, 813, 956, 784, 783, 844, 949, 993, 171, 451, 788, 997, 831, 853, 888, 211, 818, 901, 991, 909;
images in a number of designs have been updated/reuploaded for correct work of the header editor (the following designs: 789, 798, 822, 829, 828, 827, 825, 985, 948, 903, 882, 879, 934, 932, 872, 842, 832, 311);
2 new templates have been added, partially due to the active development of the Brazilian localization:
