Maximum number of posts in a Forum? |
One of my users just brought this to my attention...
I opened my Forum on 2010-10-15 and have had steady messages ever since that date, but now when you click on "New Messages" the highest the page count reaches is page 30, with the oldest post being 2010-10-31. Is there some maximum number of posts allowed? Is there a setting I've missed? Help... |
Zaphod, could you be more specific please ?
do you mean like that you only have 30 topic in new messages page ? if yes , you can not change that note, if you don't know how to explain it or making it more clear towards staff , just make a screenshot with your problem To busy building a passive income online ;)

Well, I don't know if I can make it any more specific...
When I click on "New Messages" there are 30 pages of messages listed. This page count never increases, and the oldest message listed is 2010-10-31, when I know there were many messages posted before that date. Although the message count at the bottom of the Forum seems to still be increasing: Total of 1157 threads created, which have 4422 replies. I can't find any of the older messages - They seem to have disappeared. I just wondered if there is a limit to the number of messages a Forum can contain, or a maximum age of messages? |
Zaphod, yes for recent messages there is a limit , even the uCoz support forum has it , you cannot search more then 30 pages in new messages form
and also never more then 25 threads per page To busy building a passive income online ;)

Zaphod,
Quote (Animorph) you cannot search more then 30 pages Right! But it doesn't mean that posts are gone. You may find them in their chapters and threads. Quote (Animorph) never more then 25 threads per page Not true. It can be changes in Control panel: Forum->Module settings->Number of threads per page->Save Let's continue the discussion here http://forum.ucoz.com/forum/9-2123-1#8267 |
