i started my site and edited everything to my liking but when i referred the link to a friend he said he got the error 404, the site can't be found, i also tried to access the site using a different computer and got the same thing, so i logged into the nettop and managed to get in. So i went into the control panel and made sure that the checkbox that made the website go down was unchecked, which it was. The site was only up for a few days already and i checked my mail for ucoz and all said registration is complete and so on... please can someone help me identify the problem thanx:)

[GEO]JazZz, if you mean this website gehound.ucoz.com I was able to access it without any difficulties.
By all appearances the problem is at your end. For testing purposes try to work from another copy of operating system, another computer and, if possible, using another network provider.
If you do not have such possibility, then it is desirable to do the following actions step by step:
1. Disable your firewall, antivirus while running diagnostics;
2. Disable the traffic saving services (e.g., Traffic Compressor);
3. Disable the torrent client or any other services that can create a lot of connections, if any;
4. Try to use another browser or update the current one.
5. Make sure that cookies are accepted by the browser, clear the cookies history; check whether JavaScript is enabled in your browser; clear the cache (temporary files) of the browser
If the problem will still be topical, provide the exact error text you see, when logging in and specify your actions step by step.

Okay heres the deelio, my current web browser can access it no problem, so it has something to do with the cookies because my other browsers and my friends can't access it (do u have to be a ucoz member to see it?). When i try access it it gives this message:

Requested site is not registered at uCoz Web Services

Site NOT found

Do i receive an email to register the site itself? when i go into my profile it has the website listed though. Thanx for all help :]

[GEO]JazZz, website http://gehound.ucoz.com/ works fine. Maybe you meant some other website. If so, provide its name.
First of all, it is possible that your users are typing in incorrect website name (with a coma or misspelling it..) Second of all, I suggest they make sure that cookies are accepted by the browser, clear the cookies history; check whether JavaScript is enabled in your browser; clear the cache (temporary files) of the browser.

It depends on the group permission of your website. But you do not need to be registered with uCoz to see the website. If you want to take some actions (like add entry) you need to register.

You receive a congratulation e-mail with a link to the website Control panel.

you don't. It is sent to you automatically after the website registration. You Username, Domain, Password as well as the link to the website Control panel is in it. If you can't find the message - check the Spam folder.
You can get to the website Control panel by adding /admin to the name of your website. If you do not remember any of the passwords, use the reminding form.
